LP 40th Anniversary Djembe 12 1/2"
From a design point of view, the departure point was our classic wood djembe, 25" tall, the one that set new standards for tunable djembes. Then we added the sort of refinements that reflect forty years of leadership in percussion. The LP 40th Anniversary Djembe is made from kiln dried Siam oak. To reflect our multi-decade pedigree, we finished each limited edition drum in a lavish red fade that matches our popular 40th Anniversary Congas and Bongos. Then, using a proprietary inlay process, we inscribed each djembe shell with our custom designed 40th Anniversary logo-sealed into the wood and protected for the ages with a rock hard gloss topcoat.
Heads are specially selected goatskin in 12" diameter. Again, each carries the 40th Anniversary logo imprint. The drums are fully tunable via conga-style wrench. "Heart" style side plates are gold plated to match the rims-special Gold Tone Comfort Curve II models that reduce hand fatigue. LP Matador Timbales Brass Shells
LP Matador Timbales from Latin Percussion offer traditional sound and excellent value for the intermediate player. They can be used alone or added to a drum set. The 14" and 15" diameter shells are 6-1/2" deep and can be tuned traditionally with a tuning wrench. They can be mounted on the included heavy duty, chrome tilting stand which is fully height adjustable.
A LP Matador Cowbell and cowbell holder, a tuning wrench, and a pair of timbale sticks are also included. LP Matador Timbales are available in chrome, brass tone plated steel and brushed nickel with gold tone.

LP 40th Anniversary Djembe 12 1/2"
From a design point of view, the departure point was our classic wood djembe, 25" tall, the one that set new standards for tunable djembes. Then we added the sort of refinements that reflect forty years of leadership in percussion. The LP 40th Anniversary Djembe is made from kiln dried Siam oak. To reflect our multi-decade pedigree, we finished each limited edition drum in a lavish red fade that matches our popular 40th Anniversary Congas and Bongos. Then, using a proprietary inlay process, we inscribed each djembe shell with our custom designed 40th Anniversary logo-sealed into the wood and protected for the ages with a rock hard gloss topcoat.
Heads are specially selected goatskin in 12" diameter. Again, each carries the 40th Anniversary logo imprint. The drums are fully tunable via conga-style wrench. "Heart" style side plates are gold plated to match the rims-special Gold Tone Comfort Curve II models that reduce hand fatigue. Of course, while we set out to create the ultimate in aesthetics, our goal was always superior tone. This time it is beyond reproach! The LP 40th Anniversary Djembe delivers crackling highs, undulating mids, and robust, resonant lows.
